EMI Music is the recorded music division of EMI Group, the world's largest independent
music company. It represents artists spanning all musical tastes and genres including including local artists Crowded House, Kasey Chambers, Jet, Paul Kelly, Keith Urban as well as emerging artists such as Angus & Julia Stone. Our International roster includes Coldplay, Robbie Williams and Interpol to name a few.
As head of the Capitol Label, your role is to lead, inspire and empower the team towards
the successful formulation and delivery of marketing campaigns for established artists and
development plans for emerging artists. Using all facets of marketing and your creative
juices, you will find unique and exciting ways to drive awareness for artists on the Capitol
roster. An understanding of effective media platforms - particularly digital - as well as an
ability to assemble an effective media mix for different segments is a must. Our local artists
and their music is the heartbeat of the company and in this role you will play an integral
role in nurturing and developing these important relationships.
Expressions of interest are sought from candidates with a strong pedigree in leading
marketing functions. Applicants must be intuitive, hands-on in their approach and able
to drive campaigns and deliver exciting marketing messages. A genuine passion for music
is essential, however, experience in the sector is not. Individuals from fast-paced creative
industries such as film, entertainment, fashion, media and on-line will
be considered.
