An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our company in a varied and challenging HR role - on a maternity leave assignment for approximately 9 months (commencing early October 2007).
Human Resources is regarded as a proactive and value added function within the business. Reporting to the CEO and working with the Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for providing high quality advice to managers and employees on a diverse range of HR issues. You will also ensure that "best practice" is conducted across the organisation and that the Company is resourced with the necessary levels of skills and expertise to facilitate change and deliver business goals and profitability.

This is a busy and dynamic environment where employees possess a strong work ethic and are rewarded for their efforts. To be successful in this role you will have previous human resources experience at a management level and ideally an understanding of the music (or similar creative) business.

As a senior HR generalist you will contribute at a strategic level whilst retaining a pragmatic ‘hands-on' approach to recruitment, performance management, employee relations, learning and development, reward and recognition. To be successful in this role you will possess:

- A strong track record in delivering progressive HR practices
- The ability to lead a HR function (including overseeing monthly payroll)
Capability to build strong internal customer relationships with a diverse group to deliver on their needs.
- Proven ability to build organisational capability with the HR function.
- Well-developed ER/IR experience.
- Tertiary education in human resources/business degree or similar

Additionally, you will demonstrate:
- The ability to relate confidently across all levels within the company
- Strong leadership and people skills
- Excellent organisational, time management & prioritisation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
